I first started thinking about developing Anatomize in 2020 whilst my Father was retraining to become a physician associate whilst working a full time Job. He'd often lament about the state of the learning resources available to him. He had to use an incoherent mix of lecture slides, PDFs, and unwieldy physical books. There were some apps out there but nothing fun and certainly nothing which delivered the slick experience that popular modern apps and games acheive.
As an avid user of language learning apps like DuoLingo he wondered why medical students didn't have an app which was as fun to use as the language apps. I started to wonder too and then Anatomize was born
Since my early teens I've been fascinated with how software can improve our lives. With only a laptop and access to the internet one can make tools which impact the lives of an almost limitless number of people. This fascination with software led me to work as a software engineer
I've worked as a software engineer in a professional capacity for over 7 years and in my time I've worked at notable scale-ups such as Babylon Health and Oak North. Over those years I've seen things done well and things done badly. And from this experience I have a deep understanding of how to develop beautiful and reliable software applications.
